Jazz “Lab” Band is an elective for instrumental students. Standard jazz band literature, modern jazz, jazz transcriptions, and improvisational skills are rehearsed and performed. Theory, harmony, form, improvisation, and music history are included and approached through the music. Can be taken 3 times for credit.
